This Is Redbridge put our communities at the centre of our bid to become the London Borough of Culture.
Being part of the bid has given us the opportunity to show the immense talent in Redbridge, and we will continue to look at ways that we can build on this. We want to put culture at the heart of Redbridge’s future. We already have plans to create a vibrant Cultural Quarter in Ilford and culture is part of Redbridge’s regeneration plan.
There are a wide range of events happening in Redbridge in next few months, and details can be seen in Do More or on the Redbridge Council website.
To celebrate what we have to offer, here are some of the highlights for March:
- We will be celebrating ‘Women’s History Month’, with a range of events exhibitions, displays about suffragettes, reading groups, activities, an open mic evening and The Komola Collective will be presenting ‘Women of Shakespeare’ at the Redbridge Drama Centre.
- Redbridge Music School will be performing a Choral Concert at the Royal Albert Hall on 13th
- From the 15th March there will be a digital public piece of art by Stefen Reiss on display for 10 days in Ilford town centre.
- The Kenneth More Theatre also has a range of performances that everyone will enjoy. Find out more at www.kmtheatre.co.uk
We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who took part in and supported our bid.
